I was disappointed to see the low rating for this product. You want this product. I've used it for years, and every year I LOVE it. Unlike other readers, I adapted to the new format and I still love it just as much. I love it's simplicity versus other running journals I have checked out. This is far and away the best running calendar you could buy
Looking it up here, I read the reviews and I too am concerned about the changes. It's the first year I haven't used it in a great many. I was unable to find this log book last year and was heart-broken. I was comfortable with the format, the pictures uplifting. I don't run anymore, I walk, but I still love the format. I was even unable to order it at B&N. I'll have to locate one locally and check it out before deciding whether to buy it or not. I was hoping it would give me the initiative to lose weight and run again.
While I believe this is still the best running log book out there, I do miss the following, which has been echoed here already:- the classic Jim Fixx cover- the red text - the extra lines for notesBut considering the price, the color photos, the formaat, and the overall quality, I still enjoy this daily log. I just hope that they don't change anything else.
The Complete Runner's Day-By-Day Log: 2009 Desk Calendar I have used this log for over 20 years and loved it. The 2009 revision is awful. Very reduced logging area and unattractive layout.Even the paper quality is too slick to write on. If it stays the some next year count me out.
I have been using this log since 1979 when Jim Fixx had his name on it, and color pictures to boot. I am breaking up a 29 year relationship with this journal. You CANNOT be serious.
$6.95. 39 dollars. Cover price retail.
In the 70's all you needed was a pair of good running shoes, shorts, and a tee- shirt. I have both his books, the first one got me started running for life. I'd almost be tempted to try this new format, but 39 dollars.
I'll write on toilet paper 1st. What a shame.
